Transporter & Seller Registration

Scope of Service

Pineapple transporters / sellers either individuals / companies / cooperatives that transport pineapple to registered factories and fresh pineapple sellers as specified in the Pineapple Industry (Fruit Control) Regulations 1979


Objective

To regulate the travel of all matters pertaining to the registered transporters / seller activities pertaining to the pineapple industry.


Registration Eligibility

Open to transporters / sellers consisting of individuals / companies / cooperatives selling / transporting pineapple fruit.

2.A registration fee of RM 20.00 is charged each time the registration is made either using cash or postal money or cheque on behalf of the Malaysian Pineapple Industry Board – CIMB Account No. : 860-1509-846

Validity Period

The validity period of registration begins from the date of registration and ends on 31 March every year.

Registration of Pineapple Exporters

Scope of Service

Individuals / companies / cooperatives intending to export canned pineapple and pineapple juice as specified in the Pineapple Industry Act 1957 (Export Marketing Regulations 1959).

Objective

To ensure that exporters of canned pineapple and pineapple juice only supply canned pineapple and pineapple juice from registered pineapple factories to guarantee export quality.

Registration Eligibility

Open to individuals / companies / cooperatives who want to export canned pineapple and pineapple juice.

2. A deposit of RM 2,000.00 is required for the first registration made either by cash or postal money or cheque on behalf of the Malaysian Pineapple Industry Board - CIMB Account No. : 860-1509-846.

3. The RM2,000.00 deposit will be refunded if the exporter is no longer active as a registered pineapple exporter.

4. Sila kemukakan resit kewangan LPNM atau bukti pendaftaran dengan LPNM apabila menuntut kembali wang deposit berkenaan.

5. This registration must be renewed annually at no charge through the notice of renewal of MPIB registration

The valid date of registration is from the date of registration and ends on 31 December every year.

Registration Of Pineapple / Small Factories

Scope of Service

Individuals / companies / cooperatives involved in the production of canned pineapple and pineapple juice as specified in the Malaysian Pineapple Industry Act 1957 under Section 14 and subject to the Pineapple Industry (Controlled Factory) Regulations 1959.

Objective

  1.To regulate smallholder pineapple fruit market for canning purposes and to monitor the price and rate of decline of smallholder pineapple in registered factories.
  2.Regulating the quality of product processing to meet the Specifications and Regulations as follows: -
   2.1.1Pineapple Industry (Grades, Marks & Labels) Regulations 1959
   2.1.22.1.2 Malaysian Food Regulations 1985
   2.1.3Specification For Canned Pineapple MS 302:2003
   2.1.4Specification For Canned Pineapple Juice MS 714:1981

Registration Eligibility

  1.Open to canned pineapple manufacturers or pineapple-based processing factories.
  2.For canned pineapple processing factories (Pineapple Factories) manufacturers / companies must have at least 600 hectares of pineapple cultivation, equivalent to 1,500 acres. Whereas for canned pineapple processing factories which do not have pineapple cultivation areas will be registered under the Small Factory registry.
  3.Manufacturers shall have premises that meet the minimum requirements for the site, layout, construction, plant, machinery and hygiene of a plant as contained in the Pineapple Industry (Cannery Control) Regulations 1959.
  4.Manufacturers must meet the quality control requirements or the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as a minimum requirement.

Confirmation Of Canned Pineapple Export Permits

Scope of Service

Manufacturers / Exporters registered under the Pineapple Industry (Export Market) Regulations 1959 are subject to the Malaysian Pineapple Industry Act 1957 (Amendment 1990) and Customs (Prohibition of Exports) 2012.

Objective

  1. To approve the canned pineapple export permit (AP) by the Director General of Customs (JKDM).
  2. To control the production and export of canned pineapples for the purpose of collecting cess and statistics.

Registration Eligibility

  1. Open to individuals / companies with registration certificates as Exporters from the Malaysian Pineapple Industry Board (MPIB).
  2. Exporting only canned pineapple or pineapple juice products processed in any factory in Malaysia.

Application Method

  1.Individuals / Companies intending to export must be registered as a Registered Exporter with MPIB.
  2.AP applications must use the online e-permit system provided by Syarikat Dagang Net Technologies Sdn. Bhd.
  3.Individuals / Companies must first register with Syarikat Dagang Net Technologies Sdn. Bhd. to obtain the user name and password before accessing the e-permit system.

Validity Period

The validity date of the export permit (AP) of canned pineapple is 5 days from the date the export application was made.

Confirmation Of Export Permits For Fresh Pineapples, Ornamental Pineapples And Pineapple Suckers

Scope of Service

The transporters and sellers registered under the Pineapple Industry (Export Markets) Regulations 1959 are subject to the Malaysian Pineapple Industry Act 1957 (Amendment 1990) and Customs (Prohibition of Exports) 2012.

Objective

  1.To approve the export permit (AP) of fresh pineapples, pineapple suckers and ornamental pineapples on behalf of the Director General of Customs (JKDM).
  2.To regulate the export of fresh pineapples, pineapple suckers and ornamental pineapples for statistical data collection purposes.

Registration Eligibility

  1.Open to individuals or companies who have been registered as Transporter / Seller with MPIB.

Application Method

  1.Individuals / Companies intending to export must be registered as a Transporter / Seller registered with MPIB.
  2.AP applications must use the online e-permit system provided by Syarikat Dagang Net Technologies Sdn. Bhd.
  3.Individuals / Companies must first register with Syarikat Dagang Net Technologies Sdn. Bhd. to obtain the user name and password before accessing the e-permit system.

Validity Period

The validity period of the export permit (AP) is 12 days for fresh pineapples and pineapple suckers and 5 days for ornamental pineapples.
